Marissa’s love for dance started before she could even walk. Her journey in learning began with Ballet at the young age of 3. The latest passion for dance came through partnered dancing when she found Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Zouk.

Marissa started dancing with Cecchetti Ballet (Ballet Camrose) and progressed through the advanced levels and then into teaching. With 30+ years experience, she has a background in Lyrical, Modern, Jazz, Character, Tap and Hip-hop styles of dance. Her journey in fitness also led her to teaching Zumba®️ in Edmonton for 8 years, where her love of Latin music grew. She was introduced to partnered dancing a few years back and has been in-love ever since.

Marissa is looking to take her passion further to helping build the dance community. As primarily a follow and some skill to lead, she is hoping to share the knowledge she’s gained by working with some of the best in Edmonton. She’s looking to encourage a positive, welcoming and open-minded environment to foster safety, freedom of expression and creativity through dance.
