Log in to subscribeLaura is a full-time professional dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. Born in Quebec City, she started her professional dance training at l’école de danse de Québec. Primarily trained in classical ballet and contemporary, she deepens her training in jazz, modern, hip hop and flamenco. She graduates from the Quinte Ballet School of Canada with distinction in 2012, under the direction of John Ottmann. Laura pursued her passion to dance in Toronto to work with contemporary, flamenco and hip-hop companies as a freelancer. She continued her dance studies at Canada’s National Ballet School’s (NBS). She completed the 3-year teacher training program studying dance pedagogy, anatomy, music, and dance history to name a few. Laura pursued her teaching career in Quebec City, becoming a full-time ballet teacher at l’École de Danse de Québec, l’Académie de ballet Christie and Québec Multi-danse Association. She is now part of the teaching faculty at l’école Supérieure de Ballet du Québec in the junior program. Her growing passion for Latin dance led her to take coaching with world champions such as Paulina Posada, Adriano&Samantha and Corine&Victor to enter dance competitions. As an amateur in salsa and bachata, she earned several national and international titles under her belt. Recently turned professional in Latin dance, she and her partner Ricky Damier are now Rising Star World Champions in bachata and at the World Salsa Summit 2024. She is director and dancer of Dance Team Project and dancer and teacher at Alliance Dance Company. She is now involved in Argentinian Tango with coach and partner Alexander Latorre and hopes to continue freelancing in Montreal and abroad as a teacher, a dancer and a choreographer.
