Artist Bio

Jessica Marie, PhD, is not only a clinical psychologist and combat veteran but also a dedicated dancer with over seven years of experience. Her journey into entrepreneurship began two years ago, inspired by her own transformative experience with dance.

Dance Journey

Following a severe injury during her second deployment and amidst the strains of a tumultuous relationship, Jessica sought solace and hope through dance. Encouraged by a friend, she discovered the healing power of dance in a local class, which became a beacon of hope and personal growth.

The Kiz Lab

Driven by her transformative experience, Jessica founded The Kiz Lab, an inclusive dance space catering to marginalized groups often overlooked in traditional dance environments. Recognizing the need for safe, welcoming spaces for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities, The Kiz Lab offers a sanctuary where everyone can find belonging, empowerment, and joy through movement.

Unique Perspective

With a background in psychology as a fifth-year PhD student, Jessica creates a unique learning environment. She connects not just with the dancer but with the person, fostering a deeper connection and cultivating an optimal learning environment.
