Swingin' Into Spring 2024

IT LIVES!!! Swinging' Into Spring May 2-5, 2024 is Back On !!!(Although this year I am going to call it "Swinging' Into Spring ... Lite")
Yes ... It will be a Qualifying Event (Meaning points will be awarded) The last 10 days have been really busy.

For those who are unaware of the situation the last few months. The short story is ...
1) The Hotel I contracted with still has not re-opened yet (Renovating)
2) Option #2 - Back-Up hotel was supposed to close for renovations in June ... But decided to close March 1st and start the project early.
3) Option #3 – Missed their opening date of Sept 2023 ... and still is not completed

I was just about to pull the plug on the whole thing 2 weeks ago, and just have a "Pure Dance Event". BUT ... In my conversations with Yvonne Antonacci (President of WSDC) she made me aware of new rule changes that now do not require Qualifying events to be held at a hotel. Fortunately, my regular Friday Night Venue ... The Polish Home in Windsor Locks, CT does meet the requirements set forth by the WSDC. I have contracts signed with two hotels for the group, and looking at a third. But quite frankly, you can pick ANY hotel by the airport and be within a 5-minute drive. For those who will not have their own transportation, (There is a train station less than a mile from the PNH and of course the airport) ...  shuttle service will be provided from the hotels to the PNH.
There will be a limit of 200 weekend passes sold. That way I can ensure enough dance space between the two dance halls.

Currently confirmed ... Mario Robau, John Lindo, Arjay Centeno, Anne Fleming, John Festa, Blake Hobby ... and I am waiting for confirmations from several others.
