Many people have been asking me about my dance journey, so I am going to share a bit of it.

I have always seen myself dancing. During all my young age-teenager I joined classical ballet. Ballet introduced me to my balance, to my core, to discover how my body works.

In 2006 I enrolled myself on my first couple dance class. I loved and kept learning a variety of rhythms. I go through latin dances as salsa, bachata, merengue, Brazilian zouk and kizomba;
Brazilian dances as samba de gafieira, forró, bolero and soltinho.

In 2008 I decided to explore Tango, so joined a dance company. It was life changing. It brought me technique, body consciousness, the real notion of connection.

In 2010 I opened my first Brazilian zouk class. Teaching was whole new adrenaline, a new world to be discovered. I fully immersed myself in projects and self-development. In between training and classes. I went deeper, and became the organizer of the biggest Brazilian Zouk festival my city ever had at that time. “Zouk Xtreme” took place in Fortaleza in two amazing editions in 2013 and 2014.

kizomba came to my life 2010-2011. Since I have a great African community in my city, I could learn from the source. I felt all in love about it. In 2015 I opened my first kizomba class, and joined a project to bring kizomba to the streets and public spaces.

In 2012 I launched my own dance Studio, which was home of beautiful, unforgettable events for the local dance community.

Nowadays I live in Canada. Since 2018 I have been part of the Brazilian Zouk community.  I am also part of Toronto Zouk Academy a project that aims to spread Brazilian zouk by promoting events, workshops and parties, as Toronto Zouk Marathon, one of the most wonderful fully of zouk weekend in Toronto. I am also an active part of kizomba community, supporting festivals, classes, and sharing experience.

My goal now is to explore my body adding new motion, shape, and flavor, so, I am challenging myself on hip hop, contemporary, jazz funk, afro, and waacking.
