Mike & Nikki have been teaching, training, and learning Semba / Kizomba / Urban Kiz across the globe (within the U.S., UK, Europe, Mexico, Canada, Africa, etc.) since 2013. Mike & Nikki have devoted many years to learning the history, culture, music, and different styles/forms of Kizomba and Urban Kiz. Since 2013, they have been working on & building up their craft by attending group classes at festivals, taking specific/niche workshops, private lessons, and have completed several teacher certifications with instructors from around the world.

Mike & Nikki have been teaching community classes in the Phoenix metro area since 2015; They taught Kizomba and Urban Kiz at Arizona State University for a semester, as well as taught weekly for the ASU Kizomba Club for several semesters. You can find them teaching at many different dance venues, local dance events, giving workshops at festivals within Phoenix, and across the U.S.  They enjoy teaching and dancing, and take every opportunity to share their knowledge and love of it. Currently, they are teaching in rotation with the Desert Kiz Dance School Collective in Phoenix, Arizona.
