📣 A call To all kiz instructors to begin to use cross & parallel walking systems from Tango in our classes to unify our shared language! 📣
In this nerdy kiz video, Alina and I use a unique visual aid to enhance your understanding of parallel and cross-walking systems.
👟 Watch for the ⚪️ white (right foot) and 🔴 red (left foot) shoes to clearly see when we switch between systems.
This visual cue helps illustrate the fluidity of our movements.
Let’s enrich our shared pedagogy by adopting the parallel & cross walking systems terminology from Tango.
Leaders, a simple shuffle or pause can seamlessly transition us between parallel and cross-walking systems.
Followers, embrace the unexpected—what feels like an ‘off’ moment might be the setup for a creative MSP (move, step, or pattern).
Let’s make our dance language more cohesive worldwide!
Thank you to Alina for coordinating our footwear, recording this video, and putting up with my nerdy, technical, creative brain! 😄
