Phoenix Brazilian Zouk Classes & Social Oct 2nd

We're excited to offer two different level Brazilian Zouk programs starting on Monday, October 2nd! Each class series occurs every Monday for 4 weeks. It is designed to be completed as an entire program, which means each class builds on new material progressively. After classes there is a social every Monday from 9:45 -11:30pm. 

 

We also now offer a Brand New Drop-In Combo Class before the social!

 

COURSE DETAILS:

Dates: Mondays Oct 2nd, Oct 9th, Oct 16th, Oct 23rd
(With a very special OPEN House Free Starter Class on Oct 30th)

 

Times: 7:00 - 8:15pm Brazilian Zouk Foundations (Level 1) with mini Social at 8:15

 

8:15 - 9:45pm Brazilian Zouk Combo Class (Drop-In, Level 1) NEW CLASS

 

8:15 - 9:45pm Brazilian Zouk Plus (Level 1.5) Must meet Pre-Requisites to Join this Class

 

BRAND NEW CLASS at 8:15pm! - Drop In Combo Class from 8:15-9:45pm - Open to Anyone, the drop in class is $15. Or if you are currently enrolled in Foundations that month then you can Add On the entire month of the combo class for $40! (Save $20)

 

Social: After Classes from 9:45 -11:30pm at same location  

- Social is $8.00 each time, or we are offering an Unlimited Monthly Social pass for class participants ONLY at $15 for the whole month! (Save $17)

 

Location: Creative Dance Collective - Mesa - 2107 W Guadalupe Rd 85202 (off the SW Corner of Dobson & Guadalupe)

 

 No Partner Required and Rotation is optional - If you do not have a partner, that's ok because we are selling 18 lead and 18 follow passes.

 

Course 1 - 7:00-8:30pm - Brazilian Zouk Foundations (Level 1):

This is the beginner class series, where we will cover the basics, history, and foundations of Brazilian Zouk. Over 4 weeks you'll learn 7-10 classic movements and techniques for social dancing to music! It is perfect for those who have never danced Zouk, or have been dancing it for less than a year, or have taken a few classes and want to have a complete refresher.

 

For those that took the Foundations course in the last few months, this is the next Series to take - and there will be completely new moves! There are 5 months of Foundations courses total - this is Month 3. You do not need to have taken the other Foundation courses to start here. Over the 5 months of Foundations Program we teach the first 25 classic movements to fully learn Brazilian Zouk and get you ready to social dance. If you are a fast learner and would like to test out sooner than 5 months, you can do that via private lessons.

 

Course 2 - 8:15-9:45pm - Brazilian Zouk Plus (Level 1.5):

This class is for experienced Brazilian Zouk dancers who have been dancing & taking classes consistently for 1 to 2+ years. Must have solid awareness of foundations, names of Brazilian Zouk movements, and social dance experience. This will be a fast paced course that will cover more challenging movements and a deeper look into body awareness, technique and musicality.

 

**To attend this class you must complete all 5 months of the Foundations series AND test out, or take private lessons with Elijah, Deenie, or Elena to prepare you for the course.

 

 Course Fee: $55 per person for each 4 week series, + $15 for Monthly Socials Pass (Partner not required)
