Social Tuesdays: Salsa Bachata Kizomba (SBK) Latin Dance Night

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, we have a guest instructor, Johanna Noseworthy, teaching a one hour Shuffling workshop at our Social Tuesdays: SBK Latin Dance Night.

Shuffling is the perfect combination of a runners high and musicality! The workshop will be focusing on the basics of shuffling, this includes moves like the running man, the t-step, and additional steps tailored to the workshop attendees’ level.

Johanna dabbled in contemporary and lyrical dance as a teenager, but it is her love of electronic music that first drew her to try out shuffling. In the absence of other activities during the pandemic fitness facilities shutdowns, Johanna started to train in shuffling more seriously through the vast array of online content created for dancers who were isolating at home. Johanna’s teaching experience includes a variety of studios, including Dance Code, and she loves sharing her passion for dance with others, so be ready to learn some new moves in a fun/supportive environment.

You do not need a partner for this workshop. The workshop will be friendly to all ages/levels with something for everyone. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing you can easily move in and clean indoor sneakers. You may also wish to bring a pair of shoes (heels or flats) for the Latin dance classes and social dancing portion of the night.

After the workshop we will have a Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba (SBK) afterparty. Join us for a fun dance night at this beautiful venue! 💃🏼🌮🕺

Cost:

Cover for the Social Tuesdays event is $5 early bird (advance purchase via eventbrite) or $10 at the door (cash only, paid at the bar), which includes both the dance lesson/workshop and social dancing.

Food/Drinks:

We encourage attendees to support the venue through food/drink purchases to ensure the night remains viable. Drinks can be ordered all night, food must be ordered by 10:45 pm.

Parking:

All our guests are eligible for $5 parking after 6:00 pm in Central Social Hall's parking lot (at the back). As you enter the venue, there is a QR code at the door which you can scan to register your vehicle.
