Unity: Kizomba/Semba and Afro Weekender

"Unity" is intended to create a space where the Kizomba and Afro scenes can share and engage with one another.

 

Kizomba is an African dance not born in isolation. Let's explore together, in an environment that is safe and fun and full of joy. Dancing is freedom, so let's get free! All while enjoying food, music and learning together. 

 

What to expect?
Friday night: We eat and vibe together.
 Food will be included in your ticket price at a bomb African restaurant in Vancouver Friday night where we'll eat and groove together. (details incoming)

 

Saturday:
Workshops during the day.
Kizomba, Semba, Drumming (djembés) & Afro Grooves
Party at night. Kizomba/Semba/Konpa/Afro

 

Sunday:
Workshops during the day.
Semba, Ndombolo, Drumming/Singing etc
Day party to close out the weekend
