Future Zouk Northwest Weekender 2023

WELCOME to the official Facebook event page for Future Zouk Northwest Weekender 2023, a joint production of Future Zouk & Za Thomaier Dance hosted by OmCulture Wallingford of 2210 N Pacific St in Seattle, WA! Get ready for 25+ hours of Brazilian zouk goodness featuring Evelyn & Derrick (San Francisco, CA), Carla & Javi (Vancouver, BC), DJ JC aka JC Arzaga (Portland, OR), and more with all levels to advanced workshop content, social dance parties, and more! IMPORTANT NOTE: For those who purchased a Believer Pass after our September 2022 event, keep in mind that we have shifted our dates forward to the 3 to 5 March 2023 weekend to help avoid conflicts with other important community events we want to mutually support. In addition, we have extended the window for ticket transfer about a week up to Thursday 2 March 2023. SCHEDULE OVERVIEW (1 March 2023 DRAFT)
+ FRI 3/3 (8p to 2a PDT) - Official 4+ hours kickoff social dance party with DJ JC, El Gato, Za, Just Jacob and friends beginning with 2 hours all levels workshops by Carla & Javi (8p) as well as Evelyn & Derrick (9p) with music starting at 10p at Om Culture!
+ SAT 3/4 (12:30p to 3a PDT) - 5+ hours all levels to advanced difficulty Brazilian zouk workshops with all the artists, optional add-on limited enrollment (lead / follow balanced) masterclass with Evelyn & Derrick, plus afternoon practica followed by 5+ hours evening social dance party with DJs JC, El Gato, Za, Just Jacob, and friends at Om Culture!!
+ SUN 3/5 (12:30p to 5p, 7p onwards PDT) - 4+ hours all levels to advanced difficulty Brazilian zouk workshops plus bundled, guided practice with all the artists at OmCulture followed by early evening after-party offsite (see Facebook event "Discussion" section for afterparty address).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (1 March 2023 DRAFT)
+ Attenders are welcome to use masks (or request such from dance partners), but we won't enforce them for this event. On the other hand, all attenders regardless of vaccination status or masking preference must still pass a negative COVID test with results no greater than 72 hours before event participation. Note: PCR, rapid antigen (FDA approved over the counter self-test), and saliva tests including FDA approved over the counter self-test kits all accepted but NOT antibody test.
+ Reduced indoor capacity and facilities thoroughly cleaned throughout the event with hand sanitizing encouraged in the event of partner switching.
+ All participant names, emails, and phone numbers confidentially recorded to facilitate contact tracing, if necessary.
