After taking a ballroom dance class for a family wedding Rod Higgins got hooked! Starting his dance journey with American style Ballroom that led to West Coast Swing and eventually Two Step. He has been dancing for 17 years and has been grateful that he had an opportunity to learn from some of the best professional dancers around the world. He was lucky to be able to compete for many years in the UCWDC where he competed in Waltz, Cha-Cha, Nightclub 2-Step, Triple Two, East Coast Swing, Polka, Two-Step and West Coast Swing. He had opportunities to dance all over the world and dance truly is a language we all speak. Through coaching, competition and dedication he is constantly learning different styles and techniques to share with others on their dance journey. His love and energy for dance is only possible with the support of his wife and children.
