Originating from a diverse Indian upbringing, Nerissa uncovered her passion for Latin dance in Edmonton, Canada. Nerissa has always been passionate about dancing and has delved into several dance styles such as Ballroom, Indian classical, and Hip-hop. It was upon her arrival in Canada that she encountered the world of Latin dance. Beginning with Salsa and Bachata around 2014, she later ventured into Kizomba and has performed, competed, and choregraphed at multiple events on both local and international stages. Through her performances and choreographies, she encapsulates both the vivacity of Latin styles and the vibrant essence of her cultural background.

Nerissa is also dedicated to teaching and sharing her expertise and cultural appreciation with the community. After a short hiatus, Nerissa is back with a renewed zeal for teaching, eager to share her wealth of experience and unwavering passion for dance with the community.
