Maxwell Aguilar has been exposed to Latin cultural music and dance from a young age, living in El Salvador. These dances include Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata and Hip-Hop. He started dancing in 1995 with a group called “Sangre Morena”, where he preformed traditional Salvadorian and Afro-Latino dances. In 2000, he was part of the Canada Salsa team, and went on to perform and compete all over United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Upon returning to Edmonton, AB, Maxwell opened up his own dance studio, Caribbean Touch Dance School, where he could share his love of dance and teach all levels of Salsa and Bachata. Maxwell’s skills and love for dance has had him sought out to perform in music videos, commercials and TV shows, all over Canada, the US and the Caribbean. It has also allowed him to teach and share his love of dance in places like Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson, San Antonio Texas, Miami, México, Seattle, New York, and all over Canada.
