Brian Ghettuba | James Blaq | DJ James Blaq

James Blaq’s journey in dancing Kizomba, Urban Kiz and Afrohouse began in 2015. He fell in love with these dances and began to train more extensively at classes, numerous festivals and taking many private lessons. 

It wasn’t too long before he got into producing a few songs, remixes and an EP for the Kizomba and Urban Kiz community. ‘Miss U Montreal’ is his most successful project to date. 

James started to DJ in 2019. As of 2021, he has been invited to play in cities such as Calgary, Saskatoon and Vancouver.  In addition, he is a resident DJ at On The Rocks Latin Thursdays in Edmonton. He regularly spins for local Kizomba and African events.

Outside the music and dance world, he is an up and coming filmmaker and successful screenwriter.
