Emily is a Certified Tarraxo Instructor teaching weekly classes and workshops in Montreal, Canada. She has been a dancer at heart ever since she was enrolled in ballet classes at age 3. After she stopped dancing ballet as a teen, she re-discovered dance in 2017 through country two-step and then later, salsa.

In 2018, she got her first taste of Kizomba and fell in love. Emily assisted teaching kizomba classes in Edmonton and regularly danced kizomba/Urban kiz in British Columbia as well.

In April 2021, Emily made the leap and traveled North America for 5 months attending kizomba festivals and taking private classes with various artists in different cities.

Then in January 2022, she made the decision to move to Montreal to pursue Urban Kiz further and has been teaching with Team Kizomba Innovation ever since.

At the moment, Emily is intrigued with Tarraxo and has been working hard at learning and perfecting that style. She enjoys being creative while dancing and playing with musicality with the aid of her extensive formal music education background.

She is passionate about sharing her love of the dance that stole her heart and is excited to continue her dance journey.
