Before their involvement in the fusion community, Avery underwent training as a classical singer and lyrical/contemporary dancer. Taking musical knowledge and experience with them into partner dance made them appreciate music with their ears AND feet.

It was their love of jazz that brought them to East Coast Swing in 2013, their first partner dance. Since then, they’ve undergone training in Brazilian Zouk and Kizomba. 

They love to keep dancers guessing with differing soundscapes, hoping to take dancers on a fulfilling musical journey.
