Deenie has been dancing since 2004, and brings a diverse background of dances ranging from Brazilian Samba to competitive Ballroom/Latin to West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Bachata. Once she found Brazilian Zouk in 2013, she fell in love with the dance and began to seek out training to absorb as much as she could.

Since then, she and her partner Elijah James have competed in the Amateur US Open at LA Zouk Festival 2017 and Semi-Pro division the next year (2018), taking 1st place both years. They love the creativity, expression, technique, and beauty that Brazilian Zouk has to offer and they look to embody that in their performances and teaching.
