Anjana Babbar is a trained dance professional proficient in Bollywood, Indian Classical Kathak, Spanish-Arabic fusion and Indian Folk dancing. She learned the nuances of Indian dance forms under the guidance of her guru for 11 years in India where she explored a diverse repertoire of dance forms ranging from traditional to modern to experimental. Her passion coupled with her willingness to serve her community led to the opening of her dance school Jeevan Gopal Dance Academy Edmonton in 2010. Currently, she is sharing her passion through her dance school in Edmonton and Beaumont where she is training budding dancers of this diverse and dynamic community who rock the stage wherever they perform. The performers of her troupe are well known in Alberta for their vibrant, colorful, and energetic dance presentations. Creating a mesmerizing and entertaining experience for her audience is her forte!

Having danced her way into people’s hearts in India and as the Founder and Artistic Director of the most renowned Bollywood and Indian dance academy in Edmonton, her goal is to encourage creativity, display the brilliance of rich Indian culture, showcase the beauty of diversity, spread the appreciation for art and culture, inspire the next generation, and bring people and communities together while celebrating the joy of dancing. 

Anjana offers Bollywood dance lessons in Edmonton and Beaumont at various locations for all age groups including kids, youth, adults, couples, and even grandparents.

Classes are offered both on weekends and weekdays and there’s provision for both group as well as private dance lessons.

Her annual dance showcase JGDA FEST is the biggest Bollywood dance event in Alberta.
She choreographs for fashion shows, beauty pageants, awards ceremonies, charity shows, fundraisers, festivals across Canada, events at legislature, weddings, receptions, flash mobs, schools, universities, and team building events for various banks and corporate houses.
